個人簡介

BiographyMy name is Roos Sondag, born at 27-11-1987 in my hometown Volendam. My love for harder music began a long time before I started mixing LPs. I owe that to my brother Leo (Sunny D). When I was a little Rosy my brother build a studio in our parent's attic and I was already there a lot. I like the harder music especially the faster tracks, if there was a lot of bass in it. He learned me the basics of mixing while I'm feeling the buttons of the mixer and the ridges on the LPs. After a year I bought my own turntables and XTC mixer. Slowly but surely with a lot of practice every day it went on better. I focused on early hardcore and oldskool. Every month my bro organized a house party in one of the pubs at Volendam. There started my career. I played a lot there and much more smaller parties in the area. When I was 15 years I was approached by Multigroove. They wanted to book us together for a party in Zaandam and of course, we wanted that and there we were in Hemkade as duo brother and sister, I was very proud. But first I had to think about an artist name. I thought short but powerful Rose but this name was already in use by the prophet at the beginning of his career so it became Rhose. After this great change and experience, I became a lot of gigs at the smaller parties but also the bigger events like Hellbound, Multigroove and Sunday High where I could show my mix skills. When I'd finished a few years as freelancer I came in contact with an agency in The Hague (Elusive Agency) where I also received some nice bookings and especially those in England, Middlesbrough was amazing! My father and I went to the airport and we flew together with anyone of the agency to Liverpool airport to dine and then play into a crazy location. My dad has allways supported me, therefor I'm really thankful. In time I wanted something new, something different and did I meet Patrick. (owner Cyndium) He wanted me to be contracted with his agency so after a conversation, we made the contract. We had a nice time and he gave me a lot of good gigs like Reng Deng Deng and Pandemonium at Amsterdam Studios. He told me I had to go produce all the time but I could not. Both financially and mentally not. It frustrated me greatly because I knew that I was musically based and wanted to break through the hard scene. I loved that music and still. Every week I bought new EPs at Mid-Town (Amsterdam) and loved to spend some hours there. Mixing was not the reason I received fewer bookings over time but my personality caused the problem. It was difficult to show myself because I had no productions and did not like the backstage socialists so I did not get to know other artists organizers etc. It always felt like I was unwanted and was insecure about my personality. I have never doubted 1 second about my love for music or mixing skills. The bookings stood still for a while and I became more uncertain about myself. I turned into a burnout and I got a depression which eventually led to a psychosis. Actually, still, every day is difficult for me, but with the right therapy, deployment and regular practice of meditations/hypnosis, it is much better and then I have better control over my insane emotions. I suffer most from my fears to which my emotional regulation disorder(ERS/Borderline) is linked. I am now trying to transform my fears and weaknesses into strength and I have to say that it's going forward. Now I can finally focus 100% on producing.Marlice and I have also played together for a while with the name 4-titties haha lol! She arranged for us a great booking in Swiss. We had a great time there and after our live vinyl set, we came into a conversation with the crew from Rige Entertainment. We talk about our career and what we gonna do in the near future. After that, they asked us to come by their bookings agency. As duo but also individual. Wow, we couldn't believe it. There began our new Chapter! Mine contract was for 5 years. I didn't have many gigs but the gigs what I had were good! Among other things Ruhr in Love where I´ve played 4 or 5 times. Not only Cyndium said that I had to go to produce. George (owner Rige/RTC Distortion) told me again and in fact, I still did not have the opportunity to do it. Eventually, I got too few bookings at rige, so I knew for sure that something has to change!Rige told me about Jasper (Chrono) and they asked if I would contact him so that he could help me with Cubase. So I called him directly and we planned our first meeting for any collaboration. We were in the studio every week. It was a slow and difficult road for me with a lot of struggles, but my perseverance and willpower led me to where I am now. Since 1.5 years I have my own fast pc with Cubase. I learn more and more every day. It even starts to become more fun than mixing itself! I am very grateful to Jasper for the time he has put into me and the pleasant studio sessions. We became real friends. Our collaboration got better and we finally released an EP with 5 tracks at Megarave Records. Tracklist: 1st Episode, Just Shoot Me, Hard & Long, Drummachine, and Taste. Quinten (Ragnos) did the vocals for us with the name MC Mad Face! We were a very enthusiastic team and it was a really nice time with those guys. Chrono and I made also a collab for Peacock Records, named Bang! That's one of my favorites! Also, Drummachine and we reached number 3 in a German DJ/producer mag with a 9.8! We were proud real proud! The time at Rige also ended after a 5-year contract. It was time for a new step. Time to develop myself within producing. I'm working with Cubase and for me, it works well. It's a very extensive program with many possibilities. That makes it so attractive to me, I think because I do not like simple.haha, My favorite producers are Hellfish, The DJ Producer, Tripped and Djipe. Their style is for me the best style. They're my Idols. I certainly take these influences into my own productions. My motto remains: I am and stay different than the rest so I want to take my own style. A mix of Terror, Drum&Bass, and Breakcore with industriële influences. Nowadays I am freelance and I rule my own bookings..until I possibly find an agency that suits me. I am far from planning to quit, although this year I will participate in the scene for 15 years. This year there will also be a party to the sign of my 15th anniversary. More info soon! I want you to know that I'm going for gold. There are crazy productions coming up and I hope to be at one of the bigger events soon. Preferably a live set with only hard, rancid music from me. Making people laugh, dance and scream that makes me happiest. Every time I hear that music, I get a big smile on my face. It makes me very happy and I get goosebumps in my ears, I am a living drum machine I was born for and I will stay for all my living years!Much love DJ Rhose
